European Projects

Objective: The Secure Chain project aims to promote new bioenergy businesses in rural areas under innovative criteria and encouraging the participation of SMEs. The project is coordinated by the Dutch company Biomass Technology Group and governed by a consortium of organizations from up to 8 European countries that gather expertise in different specialties of bioenergy, such as energy efficiency, the valuation of agroforestry resources, the management of the chain of supply, engineering design, financial management or certification of quality standards and ecological investment. The project has supported more than 20 SMEs from six European regions in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Catalonia, Greece and Estonia.The Biomass Cluster is part of the Technical Committee, which has the mission of monitoring, reporting, identifying, validating and proposing innovative ideas to generate new bioenergy businesses.
